I'm Trying!

Well, I did give a forewaring, I'm not very good lately about things like this (keeping up to date with e-mail and postings) but I am trying.

Thank you Kristen for the cool name link! See the bottom of the page for the link, there are 14 Tanya Norwood's in the world, 5 Tanya Scherer's (my maiden name, I was very surprised there were others) and just 1 Kaitlyn Norwood. I think that is pretty cool!

Kaitlyn actually made it through a whole soccer game today. She was still struggling to breathe a little bit but not enough to have to pull her from the game.

I've been subbing in some interesting classrooms lately. Mostly disabled and special ed kids but also some with behavioral issues. I wish I could help them all, I feel for them and their situations. Most of them have so many cards stacked against them and you really just want to do something to make a difference. It definitely makes me feel blessed to have such a sweet daughter.

Have a great week!
Tanya

Good morning!

What a great conference this weekend! I am so proud of all the ladies but especially the ones from our church, they did such a great job and it was very uplifting!

With some encouragement, I was able to attend Kaitlyn's first soccer game on Saturday. She was so cute (of course I would think so) but unfortunately had an asthma attack so I had to pull her from the game. She was not very happy about it so I let her try again, it just got worse so I asked the coach not to put her back in. I think she was bad enough by that point that she was okay with sitting out. I remember very well that as a child, no matter how bad my own asthma got, I never wanted to stop playing. It took awhile to realize that it made it harder to get it back under control if I didn't stop when I should. I am trying to explain it to Kaitlyn but like many things, she may just have to learn it on her own.

In one of the photos, you can see how much she was struggling to breathe.

Her team won 4-3 so it was a great way to start the season.

Welcome

Okay, I've avoided it long enough. I have heard "you have to start a blog" so many times and I finally gave in! I am not at all creative when it comes to words and titles so I named my blog after what I feel is my most important role at the moment. I can't promise frequent updates but I welcome your comments and hope to keep in touch with many of you through this blog!
